2023 year review
While not entirely over, I doubt I will have a chance to do a real end-of-year post, so just going to call it a year now. That was a doozy of a year – nasdaq composite up 37%, nasdaq 100 up a whopping 46% (!!!!) !!!! My porfolio up “only” 34%, so honestly “underperforming” esp

End of half update – 2 months late
Well that was a whirlwind of a quarter, for both the stock market and for myself, as I started a full time remote job. I’ve been busy raising the girls and working, so didn’t get to post here since the end of the first quarter, so I figured I would post an update. Also –

2022 Year summary
So 2022 ended, and I wanted to put a summary post so I have it to look back on, because I started this blog only during the year. The year ended with the nasdaq down 33% and the s&p down 19.5%, and my portfolio down 17%. So on a historically shitty year, relatively decent performance

Have we seen the bottom? May 13 weekly summary
Theres nothing like finishing a red week with a 3.5% up day to lessen the blow, but even with that, the nasdaq was down another 2.6% for the week. My porfolio lost 3.7%, again due to my large position in AMZN, which I still think is going to work out in the long run. I

GOOG, MSFT, V Earnings play follow up and daily post
So goog reputed and dropped 100$. But my earnings position in google really just stayed the same (-80$ for the earnings part) and is on track to expire worthless: And that’s the beauty of positions which are combined bear and bull positions, as opposed to just 1 way positions, bear or bull. A put ratio

Initial portfolio overview
First things first, in order to demonstrate that I bring alpha, here is the YTD performance of my portfolio vs leading indices: Me: 5.64%, nasdaq: -12.82, so ~17% of alpha vs the nasdaq, which is the relevant benchmark to compare to, till now. And from the graph its easy to see a couple of things.

Tl;dr – In this blog I will be firstofall openly (completely FREE! no sign up for my newsletter, no buy a subscription!) sharing my current portfolio (no bullshitting here), but also discussing thoughts on investing, what I’m reading, different strategies, and more. I don’t know of any other blogs (or investors) who are open like
